The Magic of Blue - Create your own Earth Pigment Mandala with Susannah Crook and Ali Hutchinson

Awaken to Mindful Earth Colours and the Magic of Blue: A Day of Creativity and Connection

Join us for a transformative day of mindful healing, creativity, and connection as together we explore the colours of the earth.

This is a day that will leave you feeling tranquil, inspired, and deeply attuned to your inner self, the rhythms of nature, and your innate creativity.

What to Expect: This immersive experience will be co-facilitated by Ali Hutchinson, an Intuitive Health Coach, and Susannah Crook, a renowned Somerset earth pigment artist. Together, they will guide you through a journey of mindfulness and artistic expression, blending meditation, nature connection, and the ancient art of earth pigment painting.

 Highlights of the Day:

  • Guided Meditation & Mindfulness Practices:
Begin the day with a calming meditation led by Ali Hutchinson, designed to awaken your intuition and creative spirit.

  • Earth Pigments & Botanical Colours:
Dive into the enchanting world of natural colours, in particular the history of blue from ancient Egypt, Medieval Frome and the distant land of India. Susannah will also share her stories of foraging Somerset’s earth pigments and demonstrate how to mill these raw materials into vibrant paints. You will have the opportunity to make your own natural paints.

  • Mandala Creation:
Drawing inspiration from the ancient tradition of mandalas and the energy of spring, you will mindfully craft your own unique mandala. Susannah will guide you through this process, encouraging playful exploration and slow, intentional artistry.

  • Group Sharing & Reflection:
Throughout the day, engage in meaningful discussions on mindfulness, creativity, and wellbeing. Enjoy time for self-reflection and connect with like-minded souls in a warm, welcoming space.

Bio: Susannah Crook. I am a landscape artist living near the coast in North Somerset. Using natural earth, mineral and botanical pigments my aim is to evoke the timeless geology at the water's edge. Becoming a more ecologically aware artist, using sustainable materials as much as I can, has become a natural part of my practice.

Working mindfully and often intuitively allows for a deeper connection to the land. Walking, observing, gathering earth, sieving earth, making paint and then painting, inspired by that same landscape, is a grounding, cyclical process.

Through my work I aim to offer a quiet moment of reflection and awakening.

Bio: Ali Hutchinson is a Spiritual Mentor, Author, Frequency Medicine Holder, Cacao Carrier and Ceremonialist. Her mission is to serve clients in their fullness, nurturing a renaissance of soulful living and divine connection. Through the medicine of cacao, workshops, meditation, frequency, personalised readings, mentoring, energy healing and more she will guide you on the journey you need to be able to grow and thrive.
